Thanks for this blog! I found it via a google search for Michael’s Honey of Cobb Co. My husband and I ran into Michael while grocery shopping in Berkeley today (Dec. 21 2012) where I waited patiently for a man (who turned out to be Michael) to finish stocking honey on the shelf.
He struck up a friendly conversation about the honey and I had no idea that I was speaking to the bee keeping man who co-produces (with the cooperation of the bees, of course) my favorite honey! He was very friendly and educated us about the subtle variances of the taste of the honey based on floral pollination.
Anyway, we were in a rush so I grabbed the honey, but I wanted to just send him a quick ‘thank you’ note and wish him a very Happy winter solstice 2012 because we really do respect people who are called to bee-keeping AND I looooove me some Michael’s raw honey! The crystallization is like sugary diamond melting on the taste buds.
(I couldn’t find a website for the honey, so I thought I’d comment here, I do hope that that’s ok)
cheers and happy solstice and new year to you too!
p.s. please keep my email unpublished on your blog, thank you!)
