People do not seem to realize that swarming is an instinctive part of the life of the honey bee, it’s part of colony reproduction. I can understand that it can be intimidating for some but I think is’t a beautiful sight. A swarm can contain up to 30,000 bees. One of the reason it’s not dangerous is because the bees are not actually protecting anything. They are looking for a new place to live.
